Argues that a peace-filled life can only be ensured by submitting one's life to God, in a guide that reveals the inherent power of peace while explaining the role of choice in experiencing peace with God and oneself. Reprint.Publishers Description
In today's world, peace is hard to come by.
When personal desires are followed, serenity
is forfeited. By submitting one's life to God, a
peace-filled life is ensured. Maintaining peace
is a choice, says Joyce Meyer, as she discusses
how to be at peace with yourself, the importance
of having peace with God, and the paradox
that peace equals power. Joyce says peace
is one of the greatest gifts God has given us,
and is the only way to true happiness. Readers

p.s. Below please find my favorite passages for your reference.
The whole world lives in fear and dread, but God's children should not. We are to behave differently from the people in the world; we should let our light shine. Just being positive in a negative circumstance is a way to do this. The world will notice when we are stable in every kind of situation..........Make a decision that you will not dread anything you have to do . Do it all with a thankfull attitude. There are people who are sick or perhaps in the hospital who would absolutely love to be able to move about enough to do what you may be dreading. pg58
We should be more impressed by God's Word than our problems. He says if we dont get impressed, we wont get depressed, then oppressed, and ultimately perhaps even possessed by our difficulties. pg61
Most of us would not mind making a mistake if we thought we could make it privately. It is not the mistake, but people knowing about it that bothers us. We are afraid of what people think, and yet their opinions cannot really harm us. Our indecision can. pg63
God wants us to live with confidence and approach life boldly. Being indecisive is neither. Make a decision today to start being decisive. It will never happen if we dont. pg64
Lot chose the best part: the Jordan Valley. Abraham didnt say a thing; he just took the leftovers. He knew God would bless him if he stayed in peace. People who walk in peace in order to honor God cannot lose in life. pg89
Margin is another word for wisdom....why not plan for the unplanned, which is what margin is? pg104
Calm is the picture I get of Jesus when I think of Him and His earthly ministry. I dont ever picture Jesus rushing from one thing to the next, being impatient with people who were not moving as fast as He wanted them to. Jesus lived in a manner that allowed Him to be discerning about what was going on around Him. He knew of danger before it approached and was able to avoid things that Satan had planned for His destruction. We need this kind of spiritual sensitivity in our own lives. We will not have it if we dont slow down. pg111
Without clear priorities, people can become paralyzed with indecision; I call this paralysis of analysis. pg137
God desires for Christians to be neither passive nor aggressive, but assertive. Assertiveness allows people to communicate confidently, boldly, and clearly their thoughts, feelings, and desires. pg161
Preserve your health by no longer trying to do something about something you cannot do anything about. pg163
The preacher talked about a man who had bought an apartment complex and rented out 90% to drug addicts, prostitutes, and gang members, and 10% to law abiding citizens who actually paid their rent. After a fw months the 90% had run off the other 10%. Then the former took up the whole complex, and no one was paying rent. A similar thing happens in our minds when we start pondering, mulling over, and worrying about problems over which we have no control. We end up renting too much space in our minds to these problems, and they eventually take over most of our thoughts. In other words, we dwell on the problem, not the anwser. pg187
